To complete this repair, you'll need the following tools:

Finding your fridge freezer's model number

Before you purchase a new freezer door, you will first need to know your appliance's model number to make sure you buy the correct replacement. Your fridge freezer will have a model number consisting of letters and numbers, and it could also include characters such as a dash (-) or a slash (/). This number can usually be found on a panel or sticker inside the fridge behind the salad drawers, on the interior wall or on the sides or back of the appliance. Safety First

Before you begin, make sure your fridge freezer is turned off and completely disconnected from the mains.

Step 1: Remove the fridge door

To remove the freezer door, you're first going to need to remove the fridge door to gain access. First, you'll need to remove the fridge's top door hinge. Start by opening the door and removing the hinge cover by inserting the small flat blade screwdriver into the middle of the left-hand side of the cover. You can then prise the cover open and pull it across the hinge to remove it.

Then, you can remove the two hinge screws using either your flat blade screwdriver or Torx 25. Whilst doing this, make sure that the fridge door is supported so that it doesn't fall once the screws have been removed.
